{"id":131796,"date":"2016-07-11T13:13:48","date_gmt":"2016-07-11T17:13:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/?page_id=131796"},"modified":"2024-02-28T15:32:42","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T20:32:42","slug":"civil-rights-compliance-statement","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/about\/policies\/civil-rights-compliance-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"Civil Rights Compliance Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>ASSURANCE OF COMPLIANCE WITH TITLE VI OF THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964, SECTION 504 OF THE REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973, TITLE IX OF THE EDUCATION AMENDMENTS OF 1972 and THE AGE DISCRIMINATION ACT OF 1975<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indiana Tech assures that it will comply with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 200d et seq., which prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, 29 U.S.C. 794, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of handicap in programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended, 20 U.S.C. 1681 et seq., which prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs and activities receiving federal financial assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Age Discrimination Act of 1975, as amended, 42 U.S.C. 6101 et seq., which prohibits discrimination on the basis of age in programs or activities receiving federal financial assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All regulations, guidelines and standards lawfully adopted under the above statutes by the U.S. Department of Education.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Indiana Tech also agrees that compliance with this assurance constitutes a condition of continued receipt of federal financial assistance, and that it is binding upon the applicant, its successors, transferees and assignees for the period during which such assistance is provided.
