That transition will take affect in January for all students.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ph.D. students <\/strong>will begin using Canvas when Session 3 starts on January 8<\/li>\n<li><strong>8-week graduate students <\/strong>will begin using Canvas when Session 3 starts on January 15<\/li>\n<li><strong>Traditional students <\/strong>will begin using Canvas when the spring semester starts on January 17<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adult\/online students<\/strong>will begin using Canvas when Session 5 starts on January 29<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who will be affected by this change are encouraged to review the wealth of support resources the university has assembled on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/canvas-transition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer ugc\" aria-label=\"Indiana Tech Canvas Transition Website (opens in a new window)\">Indiana Tech Canvas Transition Website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Canvas LMS was chosen by the university&#8217;s LMS Selection committee because it felt this platform would offers a more more user-friendly and enriching learning experience for Indiana Tech students. Here is why:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It has a more contemporary and intuitive interface and other features that will improve the student experience.<\/li>\n<li>The app is mobile-friendly.<\/li>\n<li>Canvas provides outstanding support, including a 24\/7 help desk.<\/li>\n<li>Built-in messaging allows students to communicate even better with faculty.<\/li>\n<li>Canvas features technology that will facilitate better Tech Live sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-156600","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.2 -
