{"id":6694,"date":"2014-05-26T21:00:49","date_gmt":"2014-05-27T01:00:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=6694"},"modified":"2019-11-12T14:59:28","modified_gmt":"2019-11-12T19:59:28","slug":"warrior-men-women-repeat-national-outdoor-champs","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/news\/warrior-men-women-repeat-national-outdoor-champs\/","title":{"rendered":"Warrior Men and Women Repeat as National Outdoor Champs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Warrior men&#8217;s and women\u2019s track and field teams both repeated as NAIA National Champions, winning the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships on Saturday in Gulf Shores, Ala.<\/p>\n<p>The men tallied 105 points to stave off Wayland Baptist (Texas) by 12 points. On the women\u2019s side, the Warriors needed a win in the 4&#215;400 meter relay to defeat Oklahoma Baptist, 102-101.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to winning the 4&#215;400 meter relay, the women also won the 4&#215;100 meter relay. Zalika Dixon won an individual title in the 400 meter hurdles.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s team had four individual national champions, highlighted by a photo finish victory in the 100 meter dash by\u00a0Dontaey Paige, winning the event by .004 seconds.
