{"id":1253,"date":"2014-04-17T12:16:27","date_gmt":"2014-04-17T16:16:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/?post_type=news&#038;p=1253"},"modified":"2014-04-28T17:24:02","modified_gmt":"2014-04-28T21:24:02","slug":"university-honors-students-for-achievements","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.indianatech.edu\/news\/university-honors-students-for-achievements\/","title":{"rendered":"University Honors Students for Achievements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Fort Wayne, Ind. \u2013<\/strong> Indiana Tech celebrated the accomplishments of several students at the university\u2019s annual Honors Luncheon on Saturday, April 12.<\/p>\n<p>The following individuals won awards given by the university:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christopher Roth of Rockford, Ohio, won the Kekionga Feather Award. This award is given for outstanding service to the student body of Indiana Tech.<\/li>\n<li>Kafuba Donzon of Fort Wayne, Ind., won the Hayashi Award. The Hayashi Award recognizes a senior athlete who has done the most to promote athletics and academics at Indiana Tech.<\/li>\n<li>Darius Darling, of Detroit, Mich., won the Outstanding Humanities Student Award. He also was selected to Who\u2019s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.<\/li>\n<li>Ashley Benvenuti of Livonia, Mich., won the Alumni Association Scholarship. She also was selected to Who\u2019s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.<\/li>\n<li>Matthew Hansen, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was named the Volunteer Networker of the Year.<\/li>\n<li>Stephanie Perez Trujillo, of Corregidora, Queretaro, Mexico, was named Peer Tutor of the Year.<\/li>\n<li>Amanda Dicks, from New Middletown, Ohio, was named Student Ambassador of the Year.<\/li>\n<li>Nathan Whetstone, from Fort Wayne, Ind., was named Computer Lab Monitor of the Year.
