During the presentation, she was recognized for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"editor-content\">Expanding our communication degree so that students can major in journalism and broadcasting, sports media or graphic design<\/li>\n<li class=\"editor-content\">Developing new certificate programs in sports media and graphic design<\/li>\n<li class=\"editor-content\">Providing outstanding internships and capstone projects for students each semester in communication and digital design<\/li>\n<li>Organizing the university&#8217;s annual student speech competition<\/li>\n<li>Leading a graphic design project that tasked students with designing car wraps for Indiana State Police<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cIndiana Tech&#8217;s College of Arts and Sciences is so blessed to have Dr. Wireman serve in so many ways in our college. She is a role model to others for how to grow a program that is well-connected to industry,&#8221; said Dr. Anne Gull, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. &#8220;She is also a great role model to students. As a lifelong learner herself, she continues to educate herself with the latest trends and technology in the communication field so she can share these with her students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Leepoxy Award for Teaching Innovation was established in 2008 by community supporter and owner of Leepoxy Plastics, Larry Lee. It is given annually to a full-time faculty member who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Challenges students to continuously progress to higher levels of thinking<\/li>\n<li>Engages students in active learning activities<\/li>\n<li>Connects to students in innovative ways to positively impact their experiences at Indiana Tech<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-156181","news","type-news","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v24.2 -
