A new art exhibit featuring the works of nationally-known artist John Ritter has opened in Indiana Tech\u2019s Franco D\u2019Agostino Art Gallery. Ritter is an American Post-Pop artist whose vibrantly concise depictions of celebrities and popular culture have consistently graced the pages of publications such as The New Yorker, Time Magazine, GQ, Oprah, and the New York Times. The exhibit is free and open to the public, and will run through May 17, 2015. Gallery hours are 8:00am-7:00pm daily.<\/p>\n
Ritter began his career in the mid-1980s as a graphic designer at Adobe Systems, Inc., where he was given the freedom to experiment with early versions of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator software. His interest and talent in illustration grew steadily until he left Adobe and opened his own studio in 1993.\u00a0Since then, his uncompromising visual interpretations of film, writers, musicians, and politicians have worked their way into the collective American psyche. \u00a0His sought-after work is collected throughout the U.S. and Europe, and has been shown in Pittsburgh, New York, San Francisco, and now Fort Wayne.<\/p>\n
