Indiana Tech has been designated a Military Friendly\u00ae School for 2022-23 by Viqtory, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) that connects the military community to civilian employment, educational and entrepreneurial opportunities. Military Friendly\u00ae is the standard that measures an organization\u2019s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefit for the military community.<\/p>\n
In addition to Military Friendly\u00ae status, Indiana Tech was also recognized as a Top 10-Gold Level institution among graduate programs. According to Viqtory, a Top 10-Gold Level designation indicates Indiana Tech is a \u201cguidon bearer to military\/veteran programs and initiatives,\u201d and sets standards for other institutions to follow. This is the 11th<\/sup> consecutive year that Indiana Tech has been recognized as a Military Friendly\u00ae School.<\/p>\n \u201cHaving earned this award for 11 consecutive years, shows the dedication our university\u2019s president, board of directors, and faculty and staff have in serving students who have served our country.\u201d said Ryan Ozbun, director of Indiana Tech\u2019s Military & Veteran Services team. \u201cThis year, the team is eager to get back out into our areas and work with students face to face, as well as attend in-person events at bases and armories to show what makes Indiana Tech a Military Friendly\u00ae School.\u201d<\/p>\n Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly\u00ae Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution\u2019s survey response set and government\/agency public data sources, within a logic-based scoring assessment. Viqtory measures the institution\u2019s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.<\/p>\n Indiana Tech\u2019s Military & Veteran Services team extends its support to current members of the military, veterans and military spouses, as well as civilian Department of Defense and Department of Veterans Affairs employees.
