Indiana Tech is partnering with Engage Mentoring to develop Project Lead for Women executive mentoring program. The program will launch with an 8 a.m. executive breakfast on Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the Seitz Conference Center in Indiana Tech’s Andorfer Commons.

Project Lead for Women will help professional women who want to become better mentors or want to connect with established mentors within their business community. The program’s model combines group work with the use of a proprietary software system that helps participants build skills in a variety of targeted leadership areas.

“We are excited to offer the Project Lead for Women executive mentoring program to women leaders in our community,” said Cindy Price Verduce, director, Career Center and Regional Career Services at Indiana Tech. “The program also allows us to sponsor female college students and we are excited to play an active role in connecting students to qualified mentors and retaining more female talent in our region and state.”

Wednesday morning’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Kristal Walker, vice president for employee well-being at Sweetwater. Also, Theresa Ayers, director of institutional product development and sales at American Trust, will be introduced as the local market leader.

“I’m looking forward to seeing so many of our women leaders and providing employers with a tool that will help them develop and retain their female talent,” Ayers said.
